AVAL DOSAI RECIPE - DOSA

Ingredients:

2 cups rice
¾ cups aval
½ cup urad dhall
1 ½ teaspoon salt
oil for frying dosas

Directions:

Start by rinsing and then soaking the rice in water. Add aval and urad dhall to the rice and
soak for one hour.  After removing from the water, wet grind (using just enough water to keep it moist)
the mixture with salt until you get a smooth batter. Set aside the batter at room temperature
for about 12 hours.

Next heat a non-stick pan on medium heat, add a spoonful of the batter onto the hot pan and
spread into a circle. Add oil around the dosa while cooking. Cover and let cook until batter is
fully cooked, do not turn the dosa over. Serve the dosa hot with a chutney of your choice.
